چکیده
The SI family of uniand multiprocessors is &n extremely high performance but relatively inexpensive generzJ purpose set of digital proceauing systems being developed for the most demanding National security applications. A typical S-1 system consists of from one to sixteen S-1 uniprocessors sharing up to 4 gigawords of uniformly addres~ed main memory. Each uniprocessor of the current (Mark IIA) generation has computational power roughly equivalent to that of a CR AY1. In this paper, we give a general description of the S-1 Mark IIA uniprocessor and a somewhat more extensive discussion of its signal processing ● hardware and hardware-executed algorithms. Our focus is a discussion of the felicitous properties of the uniprocessor components that make the S-1 system a powerful general purpose digital signal processor. , . S-1 Sv-tem Architecture

A Comparative Study of the Programmability of a Signal Processing Application in an MIMD and an SIMD Multiprocessor
In this report, we address the issues of compilation and execution of a functional program, SISAL (Streams and Iterations in a Single Assignment Language), on the MP-1TM SIMD (Single Instructionstream Multiple Data-stream) parallel machine. SISAL has been successful on many shared memory multiprocessors (SMM) as well as sequential machines. However, the compiler has not been available for distr...
متن کاملA Review of Application of Signal Processing Techniques for Fault Diagnosis of Induction Motors – Part I
Abstract - Use of efficient signal processing tools (SPTs) to extract proper indices for fault detection in induction motors (IMs) is the essential part of any fault recognition procedure. The Part1 of the two parts paper focuses on Fourier-based techniques including fast Fourier transform and short time Fourier transform. In this paper, all utilized SPTs which have been employed for fault fete...
متن کاملApplication of Signal Processing Tools for Fault Diagnosis in Induction Motors-A Review-Part II
The use of efficient signal processing tools (SPTs) to extract proper indices for the fault detection in induction motors (IMs) is the essential part of any fault recognition procedure. The 2nd part of this two-part paper is, in turn, divided into two parts. Part two covers the signal processing techniques which can be applied to non-stationary conditions. In this paper, all utilized SPTs for n...

Over the past decade, the decreasing cost of minicomputer components has encouraged the use of multiprocessor techniques in the design of high-speed, cost-effective computer systems. Multiprocessor architectures have two principal advantages over conventional single-processor designs. First, a multiprocessor system can achieve greater computational speed through parallelism in its task structur...
متن کاملParallel Implementation of Particle Swarm Optimization Variants Using Graphics Processing Unit Platform
There are different variants of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm such as Adaptive Particle Swarm Optimization (APSO) and Particle Swarm Optimization with an Aging Leader and Challengers (ALC-PSO). These algorithms improve the performance of PSO in terms of finding the best solution and accelerating the convergence speed. However, these algorithms are computationally intensive. The go...
